Beautiful Art Deco velvet day coat in the style of Raoul Dufy, dating from the early 1970s. Fitted and flared at the bottom with a large pointed collar and a small puffed shoulder armhole. No buttons. Superb cut and shaped velvet with an orange cotton background and large stylised flowers in violet and taupe, the design of which is reminiscent of Raoul Dufy’s work. Lining in old pink rayon. No label as the work was probably done by a workshop during the beginning of the Second World War. Very nice hand sewn finish. No defects. Very good condition of colour and conservation.
