A French Waistcoat in gold Lamé Cannelé Silk – Louis XV period Circa 1760

Beautiful gentleman’s vest in gold lamé fluted silk called French faille in goose poop color and dating from the Louis XV period. Small waist fitted with long basques type leotard with two pockets. Complete with its buttons embroidered and applied in a spiral of threaded cannetillés silver and gold with recall on the beam and pockets. Back in wool twill egg shell and lining in cream silk twill and white cotton glazed. Small holes in the back, stains to the lining, only defects to note. Otherwise very good condition of color and conservation.

Dimensions: Equivalent size 12 to 14 years or 34 France. Height 68 cm, shoulders 32 cm, neck 37 cm, chest 89 cm, waist 86 cm, hips 95 cm.
