Charming summer waistcoat in cream twill wool embroidered with field flowers dating from the Directoire period. Square waistcoat with high collar and two flaps embroidered on both sides. Two flaps applied with real pockets with 8 buttons covered in the same way. Louis XVI-style naturalist floral design, embroidered with floche silk in a cameo of soft green, violet, green, pink, yellow and blue. Original back in fine cream cotton cloth and unbleached cotton lining. Some microsoiling, discreet halos under the arms and small missing embroidery showing the poncif design. Good condition despite some flaws.
