A Rare Jeanne Lanvin Women’s Sport Velvet French Couture Collection 1947

Rare women’s sports jacket (Golf, riding or winter sport?) in olive-green corduroy with broad shoulder pads and signed Jeanne Lanvin, Haute Couture, summer collection 1947. Men’s wardrobe inspiration for this four-pocket jacket with buttoned flaps and elegant à la Française pleats in the back for ease of movement. Closure with brass buttons covered with velvet with a reminder at the cuff. Lining in damask silk in the same color with the logo of the famous designer house of Jeanne Lanvin with her daughter. Original label in white ottoman woven with black indicating Jeanne Lanvin Paris 22 Fbg Saint Honoré, printed Summer 1947. Excellent condition of color and conservation.
