An Evening Jacket by Franco Moschino Couture Circa 1990

Iconic evening jacket from the most creative period of Mr. Franco Moschino who passed away in 1994. Fitted jacket, collarless and long sleeves with musketeer cuffs. Complete with 18 golden brass buttons with masks taken from the Comedia dell’Arte. Here he has taken the classic Chanel jacket and embellished it with a cord piping made of golden thread trimmings. The four flap pockets are in crimson red silk velvet to accentuate the theatrical effect. The bottom of the jacket is made of very fine black wool tergal with a black silk twill lining. The label is topped with a chain that says Moschino Couture, made in Italy. All stitching is done by hand. No defects. Very good condition in terms of colour and conservation.
