Amazing Marinière dress in two-coloured silk jersey knit with CC embroidery in the style of Coco Chanel who invented in 1917 this type of seaside dress with the Maison Rodier. Definitely haute couture work in the assembly and finishing of this straight and ample dress with small sleeves and a large shawl collar underlining a modest bib. Cream flock silk embroidery with labyrinths and ethnic geometric friezes. Thin darts underline the waist with a reversible two-tone belt embroidered with the monogram CC (?). To note four tiny needle holes in the back at the level of the collar, no other defect to report. Without underdress on which there must have been a Couture label. Rare and enigmatic collector’s item. Good structural condition.
