A Blaude/Biaude or work blouse in indigo dyed glazed cotton, France from Normandy second half XIXth century. Rare testimony of French folk art, this type of blouse with festive facings for Sunday or a festive occasion was worn by men over the shirt and vest. Very fine white embroidery in chain stitch and knot stitch at the neck, shoulders, cuffs and side slit pockets. Closing at the neck and cuffs by white glass buttons of origin. No Flaw. Exceptional condition and color for its age.
Dimensions: Large size to wear jacket. Equivalent size Woman 42/44 France. Height 73 cm, sleeves 54 cm, shoulders 56 cm, chest 160 cm, circumference bottom of blouse 240 cm.
