A fine French ormolu-mounted, kingwood, tulipwood and stained sycamore marqueterie and parquetry secretaire abattant with rectangular moulded white marble top, above a frieze drawer inlaid with flower heads, fall front enclosing a leather-lined writing surface and four small drawers and pigeon-holes, above a pair of cupboard doors enclosing the shelf. Louis XVI, late 18th century Stamped Stockel Joseph Stockel recu maitre en 1775.
