The legendary Thonet chairs, model Thonet ”No. 14 designed by Michael Thonet. In 1830 and 1836, Michael Thonet invented the technique of curved furniture and so he created the model chair no. 14 in 1859, which won a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1867 and is still a precursor in the pioneering way of designing such furniture. It is the most famous chair in the history of furniture-making in general. The furniture has been refreshed with a patina. On the seats, a slight interruption of the raffia, which is visible in the pictures. Production from the early 20th century. Signed chairs. Condition visible in the pictures.
