\nThis is a vintage country house sideboard. An Oriental, Chinese elm side cabinet, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.<\/p>\n

Pleasingly robust and offering useful storage
\nDisplays a desirable aged patina throughout
\nChinese elm presents dark caramel hues and fine grain interest
\nOf stout proportions, crafted from thick stocks<\/p>\n

Arranged as two pairs of graduated drawers with a central two-door cupboard
\nFascinatingly dressed with a cast iron ‘hairpin’ clasp, the large backplates with unusual drop handles
\nEach drawer hosts shaped handles over rectangular backplates, the quality boxes crafted with dovetail joints
\nStanding upon square section feet to each corner<\/p>\n

This is an appealing and generously sized vintage country house sideboard, with a superb, robust appearance. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.<\/p>\n
